Olive Oil Tasting, Last Night, Goodbye Cretaiole

Back to Cretaiole to have some caprese and do some laundry.
We have some time this afternoon to take a few pictures in the courtyard.
 Susan and John.
Us on our last full day at Cretaiole...

Isa and Carlo come over at 5:30 to do the olive oil class and tasting with us. They explain about extra virgin olive oil. This is the kind of oil to use! A shot of the olives at Cretaiole.

Now it is time to do the tasting. We have to rate the oils on many properties. Are they sweet or grassy or rancid or spicy?

I scored average. Arne got excellent!

A local woman made us a catered meal of lasagne and wild boar and an asparagus side dish that was so good. She brought it to us tonight for dinner. Here's Alice showing us our yummy plates!
We shared a lovely last night at Cretaiole with our new friends, Flay and Alice. What a special week and time to cherish in our hearts.

Eating by candelight in the courtyard.

Save the last dance for me, Luciano. We had some tears on this last night saying goodbye to this sweet and gentle man.

Happy 29th Anniversary to us! Arne can dance while in Italy...:)

Goodbye, sweet Cretaiole! We will hold you forever in our hearts...This is the blazing sunrise the morning we drove away.
